Jules Oscar Maes

Jules Oscar Maes was born on November 12, 1881 in Lille, France. Maes studied with Coutan and is known for his sculptures and paintings.

Maes exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français where he received an honorable mention in 1910. He also exhibited in the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Salon d’Automne, and Salon des Tuileries.

His work can be found in the collection of the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
