Adolphe LaLyre
1848 or 1850

Adolphe LaLyre was born in Rouvres, France and studied at l’École des Beaux-Arts. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1876 and was a member of the Société des Artistes Français. He received two 2nd class medals in 1900 and two medals at the Expostions Universelles in 1889 and 1900.

He is best known for his religious and mythological subjects. LaLyre’s works have been collected by museums in Chartres and Montbaun.

The date of his death is unknown.
