Henri Thomas

1878 – 1972

Thomas was born in 1878 in Molenbeck –Saint-Jean in Belgium.

He studied at l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles. He exhibited In the Cercle Artistique de Bruxelles in 1906, 1909, and 1921. In 1910 he showed his work at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris. In addition to painting, Thomas was a sculptor and Illustrator. He was known for his genre paintings of nudes, bars and bordellos. His works are in museums of Bruges, Brussels, and Liège.
