Henriette Pierrot 20th Century
Pierrot exhibited in the Society of Independent Artists from1924-27. In 1924 she exhibited two works, one was titled "Street" and the other was titled "In The Subway". In 1925 the two works were titled "Ghetto" and "Debutantes".
She exhibited at the Salons of America from1925-1927. In 1925 she exhibited two watercolors, and in the autumn of that year she exhibited one painting titled “Young Mother.”
In New York she lived at 54 W. 50th St. In Paris she lived at 11 rue du Cardinal Lemoine.
She also exhibited in Paris in the mid-1920s. The painting illustrated here is one of two works exhibited; we believe this one is titled “Street.”
She is listed in Who Was Who in American Art 1564-1975, the catalogue of the Society of Independent Artists, and the catalogue of the Salons of America. |
