James Donald Prendergast 1907-2000 prendergast was a Painter, lithographer, teacher. He was in Chicago, IL on Oct. 17, 1907. Prendergast studied at AIC, UCLA, and with Boris Anisfeld. He taught at USC (1937-40), New Orleans Arts & Crafts (194042), University of Arizona (1942-44), and University of Michigan from 1944. After retiring in 1974, he lived in Ann Arbor, Prendergast was a member of the Laguna Beach in California, WC Society; SFAA; College AA of America. He exhibited at the AIC, 1933, 1935, 1942; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 1938-40; Walker Gallery (LA), 1939; NY World's Fair, 1939; GGIE, 1939; Sna Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 1939-43; PAFA, 1939, 1942; SFAA, 1940; Univ. of Arizona, 1943; Detroit Inst. of Art, 1944, 1945. lnvw; WWAA 1938-62. He died on Frebuary 8, 2000.
