Leo Frank

1884-1959

 Leo and Hans Frank were twin brothers born in Austria.

 They were both painters, engravers and draughtsmen.They painted portraits, landscapes, still-lifes, animals, birds, flowers .

The brothers both studied at the Akademie für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna and went on to complete their formal education at the Vienna Akademie der Bildenden Künste.

 They produced numerous drawings and paintings, but Hans Frank is noted also for his coloured woodcut engravings of birds and animals of the forest while Leo painted more allegorical works.
