Lydia Zmrhal

1914-1997

Lydia Zmrhal was a Chicago artist; she studied and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in the 1930s.

One work of hers is held by the Judson Museum in Elgin, Illinois, titled “Gothic Geometric.”

She is known for abstract Cubist compositions in oil and watercolors in the manner of the French Futurists like Robert Delaney and she also painted scenic works of the environments around Illinois.
