Pierre Le Faguays
Born 1892
Pierre Le Faguays was born in Nantes, France in 1892. He studied with
James Vibert.
Le Faguays exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français; in 1922
he won an honorable mention.
Le Faguays was primarily known as a sculptor, he exhibited and many
Paris Salons, and galleries. He was also a fine painter. Both his paintings
and sculpture are Art Deco in style and we used in decoration of modern
interiors.
Le Faguays was a member of both Le Stéle and Evolution; these
were groups of Art Deco artists that exhibited together. They exhibited
at the Paris Exhibition des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels, in
1925. Both
groups exhibited in the Goldscheider Pavilion.
Le Faguays designed monuments, ceramic, and figurative lamps. He exhibited
in 1937 in Paris at l’Exposition Internationale.
