Ralph Seyfert

1929 – 2008

Ralph was born August 18, 1929 in Port Washington Wisconsin, son of Fred "Fritz" and Elva Race Seyfert.

He was a graduate of Port Washington High School and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Mr. Seyfert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, from 1953 until 1955. He taught art at Homestead High School in Mequon for many years before retiring.

His works are part of the collection of the Museum of Wisconsin Art. He was an award winning artist & sculptor. As a sculptor, he was an excellent Metalsmith. He exhibited at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in 1965 and at the 18th Annual Ozaukee Art Show in the Professional Division.

He was a member of the Port Washington Historical Society, the Ozaukee County Historical Society, and the Cedarburg Cultural Center. Ralph loved talking about art, teaching, and education with his friends from the Retired Teachers’ Association.

He passed away November 5, 2008.
