Suzanne Camille Désirée Frémont
1876-1962

Fremont was born April 10, 1876 in Chatillon-sous-Bagneux. She studied under Maximilien Luce, Eugène Carrière and G. Jeanniot and in 1921 founded l’École des Beaux-Arts de Tananarice in Madagascar.

Exhibitions include the Salon des Artistes Français, Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and the Salon d’Automne, where she became a member in 1907.
Frémont received several solo exhibitions and her work has been collected by the Musée de Marseille, Musée Carnavalet in Paris and the Musée de Rochefort.

The artist died March 12, 1962 in Bormes.
