Victor Brugairolles

Victor Brugairolles was born on May 29, 1869 in Ganges (Hérault).
He was a student of Fernand Cormon. Brugairolles often painted Dutch
landscapes of the port of Dordrecht and the surrounding area, landscapes
and seascapes of Brittany at Loguivy or Erquy, and sometimes the banks
of the River Seine in Paris.
He exhibited at the
Salon des Artistes Français in Paris between 1900 and 1936 and
received the second place medal in 1912. He also featured at the Salon
d’Automne in 1907. Brugairolles died in 1936.
Brugairolles is listed in the Benezit Dictionary of Artists.
His work has sold at auctions many times since 1920 in Paris, Versailles,
Limoges, Vienna, Neuilly, and Venice.
